Mills Schmidt
Millicent has been swimming through oceans of data since 1999 when she completed her first project at the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory in Livingston, Louisiana. She has done data analysis for private companies, governmental organizations, universities, and just for fun. Her formal training is in Engineering Physics (BS 2003) and Geochemistry (MS 2008, PhD 2014). She enjoys juggling, subverting the patriarchy, and teaching kids to count cards.

Sarah Lewis
Sarah is passionate about public records, public spaces, and public information. A native New Orleanian, she’s worked throughout the city in academia, advocacy groups, and the public sector - collecting and analyzing databases about everything from local power brokers to handmade quilts. Her formal training is in Urban Planning (MURP 2003), Library Science (MLIS 2013), and Urban Studies (PhD ABD). Mayor Ray Nagin once called her a College Student Turned Spy.
